This RFP is being issued, primarily as a means to prequalify General Contractors prior to the tendering process for construction of the New Port Hope Police and Fire Station project on Fox Road, Port Hope. The purpose for prequalifying is to ensure that proponents have previous experience with similar facility projects of size and scope, the commitment to be available for site and warranty work, the necessary and proven skills in building similar type projects, the proven ability to
manage projects of this complexity, the experience of managing a construction project of this nature, and experienced personnel and financial capability to manage the volume of construction work for a project of this magnitude.
